Global Regulatory Strategy Lead (Nourish - Food Designs)
I am a firm believer in evidence-based practice and passionate about interdisciplinary research. I merge my language skills, strategic communication and nutrition to delve into consumers' understanding and behavior - a cornerstone in changing perceptions, attitudes and intention to adopt healthy eating and living. I use the skills to map, communicate and negotiate with multiple stakeholders, with defined goals and outcome to deliver triple wins to consumers, policy makers and business.
I volunteer my time to promote the nutrition profession for over twelve years, serving as Honorary Secretary of the Singapore Nutrition and Dietetics Association (SNDA). To elevate the recognition and awareness of our profession and promote knowledge exchange in Asia, in 2007, I led the Singapore bid team to Taipei and won the right to host the XI Asian Congress of Nutrition (ACN), bringing this largest regional nutrition meeting to Singapore's shores for the first time in its 40-year history. Singapore hosted this meeting successfully from 13-16 July 2011 for nutrition leaders and over 1,000 participants from all over the world. I served as International Liaison Chair and Scientific Committee member, championing the theme of "Nutritional Well Being for a Progressive Asia".
I champion Diversity, Equity and Inclusion with systematic plans and actions with a team in Asia Pacific.
